Where are screenshots saved in Windows?
The location depends on the shortcut or application used. Some methods create a file; others only copy the image to the clipboard.
Updated:
Windows + Print Screen
Open File Explorer, select Pictures, then Screenshots. If Pictures is synchronized with OneDrive, the folder can be inside OneDrive\Pictures\Screenshots.
Print Screen and Alt + Print Screen
These shortcuts normally copy an image to the clipboard. Paste with Ctrl + V into Paint, a document, an email, or another application, then save it.
Snipping Tool
Open the capture notification, then use Ctrl + S or the Save button. The location is the folder you choose in the save dialog. Recent Windows versions may also keep captures according to the tool’s settings.
KKSnap
Use the save action to choose a file, or enable automatic saving and select a directory in settings. KKSnap can also copy the final image to the clipboard.
